In fact, he was given very good projects that tapped his potential as a future matinee idol.
He was first introduced as part of Your Song presents Gimik 2010 starring Jessy Mendiola.
The said Kapamilya series featured the latest batch of Star Magic talents including Julia Montes (then Mara Montes) and Daniel Padilla.
In Gimik 2010, Albie played Albie Marquez, the younger brother of Lance (Lance Christopher), Jessy's love team partner. The series aired from April – July 2010.

On August 2010, Andi Eigenmann had a The Buzz interview with KC Concepcion in her segment "KCx: KC Exclusives" wherein the latter found out Albie's Facebook account.

Two months later, in October 2010, it was announced that Albie will be a part of the modern retelling of ABS-CBN's drama series Mara Clara.
In the said series, he was paired with Kathryn Bernardo who plays the lead role of Mara. Albie reprised the role of Christian, originally portrayed by Wowie De Guzman.

Kathryn and Albie figured in a love triangle with Albie's Gimik 2010 castmate Julia Montes, who played Clara.
Aside from high ratings of Mara Clara, the viewing public also warmly accepted his team-up with Kathryn that fans tagged their tandem as "KathBie."

In March 2011, Star Cinema announced that they will be giving Julia and Kathryn their own movie titled Way Back Home.
Albie would still be paired with Kathryn while Julia was supposedly paired with AJ Perez until his untimely demise in April 2011. AJ was later on replaced by Sam Concepcion.

After seven months of airing, in May 2011, Mara Clara ended its run.
ABS-CBN had bigger plans for the duo of Kathryn and Julia, as well as the love team of Kathryn and Albie as the Kapamilya Network planned another TV show for them.
In fact, Julia, Kathryn, and Albie were already gearing up for the teen-oriented series Growing Up that they already had a look test.

However, in June 2011, Andi's mother Jaclyn Jose confirmed that her daughter is pregnant.
Though Andi nor Jaclyn did not mention any names, some speculated that it might be Albie because they only broke up a month earlier.
In July 2011, Star Cinema announced the decision to replace Albie as the partner of Kathryn in the movie Way Back Home.
They reasoned out that they want to experiment with different combinations for the love team partners of Kathryn and Julia.
Enrique Gil was then chosen as Albie's replacement. The movie premiered on August 17, 2011.

At the same time, Albie was also pulled out from Growing Up. His Gimik 2010 co-star Daniel was chosen as Kathryn's new TV partner. With the show premiering on September 4, 2011, the "KathNiel" tandem was born.

In Andi's blog post on September 2011, she revealed that Albie is the father of her baby through her blog post "The Good That Won’t Come Out Chapter: Deux."
Later on, Andi replaced Albie's name with the term "baby daddy."
During this time, Albie had a few TV show guestings, such as in Wansapanataym (which had an episodic format back then) and 100 Days To Heaven.
On the big screen, Albie was seen in the movie Aswang produced by Regal Films and topbilled by Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino. The film opened in November 2, 2011 in cinemas.

In 2012, Albie had not been active on television, but he was able to do the independent film The Animals, an entry on that year's Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.
Albie played Jake in this coming-of-age film directed by Gino Santos. The award-winning movie had international premieres in the Stockholm International Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival.

That same year, Regal Films tapped Albie again to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Shake Rattle and Roll 13: The Invasion.
He was part of the "Unwanted" episode starring Vhong Navarro and Lovi Poe where unfortunately, he was the first character to be killed by an alien.

In 2013, Albie returned on television but this time, he signed up as a TV5 talent.
His first project was the primetime series Cassandra: Warrior Angel where he was paired with Eula Caballero. The show aired it spilot episode on May 6, 2013 and ended in August.
